Concert Band

The Pascack Valley Concert Band

The PV Concert Band is a class (full period during the day or zero period). Students perform in both the winter and spring concerts. In Concert Band, students work on all aspects of music while growing as individuals and an ensemble.

The Concert Bands are the primary curricular component of the band program. Students enroll in these classes as a part of the course load and receive a grade and academic credit. Registering for a Concert Band class is done during the registration course selection season in January to March.

In class, musical concepts pertaining to instrumental performance are discussed, shared and put into practice. Students grow as musicians and people through the experiences of performance and rehearsal in the Concert Band classes.

"To me the band program is an outlet that I can use to express my appreciation for music. I would even say that being in a band program has helped me diversify the music I listen to."

  • Megan Austin, class of 2024

"I have one thing I love about band. The contentment at the end of every concert that says: We did it."

  • Juan Zapateiro, class of 2024
