The Pascack Valley Symphonic Band
The PVHS Symphonic Band is premiere performing ensemble at PVHS, and combines students enrolled in the full year Concert Band classes offered during Zero Period and Period 1.
The Concert Band classes are the foundation of the band program at PVHS. Students enrolled in Concert Band receive a grade and academic credit. Concert Band meets the Visual and Performing Arts requirement for graduation. Registering for a Concert Band class is done during the registration course selection season in January to March, but new students are welcome to see their guidance counselor to enroll at any time.
A focus of the Concert Band is developing individual technical skills and consistent practice habits, as well as the ability to perform expressively within a larger ensemble.
Symphonic Band attire is ALL BLACK: Black shirt/dress, black jacket, black pants, black socks, black dress shoes
